Staying out of the Grave

It is a common saying when people get older, “He has one foot in the grave.” It is an expression which jokingly implies the individual may be alive, but he is close to death. Paul wants to dispel the myth that you can live in both worlds of life and death. Believers have been given life, so why do we keep choosing death?

Paul begins Romans 6 with a question, “What shall we say then?” In order for us to understand the nature of that question, we must know what Paul has previously stated. Today, we will review Romans 1-5 before we dive into Romans 6.
