If the Law simply arouses our sinful passions, why did God give it to us? If we are released from the law, why do we still find ourselves in sin? These are questions that we will begin to work through today and the weeks to come. The Apostle Paul knows this is a difficult topic, so he leaves no stone unturned.

The Apostle Paul, a former Pharisee who knew the law, makes it clear how we, believers, should properly understand the two.

The Apostle Paul knows that in a church made up of new Christians and former Judaizers, both must be addressed. The same is true in the church today.
