What is it that moves you? All of us have things that motivate us, get us up in the morning, and drive us during the day. What is that influence for you? The answer to that question is the master of your life. The answer is of great consequence. Paul makes it clear that all of us are enslaved and responsive to something.

If we sin, then we experience a greater abundance of God’s grace. But, as believers we are to rid ourselves from sin. Last week, we saw that sinlessness is not possible, but no matter. Our salvation, our new life, and our position as children of God does not change. So, what are we to do? That is today’s question.

Staying out of the Grave

It is a common saying when people get older, “He has one foot in the grave.” It is an expression which jokingly implies the individual may be alive, but he is close to death. Paul wants to dispel the myth that you can live in both worlds of life and death. Believers have been given life, so why do we keep choosing death?
