The Mission of Missions

Please welcome Chris Hendrix, a missionary and pastor serving in Vicenza, Italy. What’s the point of missions? Is it to collect converts, count baptisms, or tally the number of churches planted? The purpose of missions is none of these things. A higher calling makes up the foundation of missions. A study of Genesis 3:8-15 reveals the mission of missions.

An Unnecessary Burden

Do you care about the lost and whether they know Jesus? I hope you’re actively looking for ways to lead people to Christ. But I wonder—are we carrying unnecessary burdens? Burdens we place on ourselves and on others? Lead them to Jesus, then trust the Holy Spirit. God will lead and parent His children.
