Knowing vs. Doubting
1 John 2:1-6 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Jacob Pollock

If . . . Then
1 John 1:5-10 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
John doesn’t beat around the bush as he begins the body of his epistle (letter). With five deductive arguments, John makes it clear that one’s actions cannot be divorced from one’s spiritual direction. This is a problem that still plagues the church. We ought to heed God’s Word because perhaps, we are not who we think we are.

John wants to make it clear from the beginning of his epistle that you can be sure about Jesus Christ and the truthfulness of this letter.

A Time-sensitive Invitation
Luke 14:15-24 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
The clock is ticking the moment we receive an invitation to an event, and our response is gauged by our interest in attending the event. If mediocre, the invitation will cause us to check our schedules. But if the event is of great interest, it will cause us to arrange our calendars around it. We are to invite people, but their response is up to them.

Worship Leader – Mark Hudson

The answer to that question is critical, because investments lead to losses or gains. Are you making wise investments, or are you simply wasting the resources you have been given?
