The Tale of Three Paths
Proverbs 2:1-21 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. A time to leave things behind and begin a new journey. Will the Real You Stand Up?
1 John 3:1-10 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
There is consistency in the Christian life. Who you are and where you are going cannot be in conflict with what you are doing. John continues to challenge us in our understanding of our faith. Is your faith a salvific faith? If so, then the pattern of your life will testify to that reality.

When the Journey Gets Tough
1 John 2:28 – 3:3 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
There are no flawless, easy, or simple journeys. If there are, then the destination is not worth it. When walking with Christ, there will be times one will question, doubt, and ponder if it is worth the trouble. John is aware of this, and he gives us the incentive and the motivation to keep moving forward.

Worship Leader – Mark Hudson

Truth or Consequences
1 John 2:18-28 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
Parents everywhere have made the plea, “Just tell me the truth,” to their kids, but hearing the truth is not enough. Even when one hears the truth, the second issue is belief. This morning you must ask yourself, “Do I know the truth and do I believe it?” The answer to that question holds eternal consequences.

The Love God Hates
1 John 2:15-17 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
We all love something. Do we love what God hates? Is our love incompatible with loving God and walking in light? Today, we see that John is blunt in his imperative not to love the world nor the things in the world. Do you love the world? Could you be more in love with the things of this world than you realize?
