Do Not Sin Against The Child
Genesis 37:12-36 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
Our children are so important to us. We provide for them, raise them, brag on them, and support them as they develop into young men and women. Along the way, let us be careful that we do not sin against them. Let’s be parents that lead our children to the Lord. We are participating in Baby Dedication this morning. It is a joyful time as we celebrate the blessing of children and remember that God has entrusted us with these little ones.

Let There Be Light
Genesis 1:1-5 – Greg Wallace
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” Many of us have heard, and maybe even sung, this little song. But do we really live by it? This morning we will take a look at a simple way that we, as Christians, can “let our light shine”!

Tough Love
1 John 3:11-18 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
Why do you think as believers we are repeatedly told to love one another? Why does it seem so tough to abide by that command? The problem is, many times we are unloving and, as a result, unlovable. God’s word is unchanging. By the eternal life residing in us, we are to show each other love in actions and in truth, even when that love is tough.

The Tale of Three Paths
Proverbs 2:1-21 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. A time to leave things behind and begin a new journey. The question is, “What path will you take?” This is a very important question, because both the journey and your condition upon arrival are at stake in the next stage of life. So, choose wisely.

Will the Real You Stand Up?
1 John 3:1-10 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
There is consistency in the Christian life. Who you are and where you are going cannot be in conflict with what you are doing. John continues to challenge us in our understanding of our faith. Is your faith a salvific faith? If so, then the pattern of your life will testify to that reality.

When the Journey Gets Tough
1 John 2:28 – 3:3 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
There are no flawless, easy, or simple journeys. If there are, then the destination is not worth it. When walking with Christ, there will be times one will question, doubt, and ponder if it is worth the trouble. John is aware of this, and he gives us the incentive and the motivation to keep moving forward.
