The Ascension
Acts 1:7-11 – Hugh Poland
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
For three years, they followed him and now the disciples have just watched Jesus ascend into heaven. Strollin’ on the Water
Matthew 14:22-33 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
As a Christ follower, you are called by Christ, but are you really with Him? It is when we are truly with Christ that we experience what others think is impossible. If you feel like you are living a mediocre Christian life, perhaps you need to step out of the boat and take a stroll on the water.

To Delay or Disobey
Luke 9:57-62 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
What is hindering you from answering Christ’s call to follow him? In this passage, we have three people that put barriers in front of following Christ. We tend to do the same. Are we guilty of finding reasons to postpone or reject the call to follow Christ? We must make a choice.

Talking Or Walking
Matthew 4:18-22 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
The call to follow Christ is not just an emotional one, nor is it simply an intellectual calling. It is a calling that stirs the whole of a person, which yields a physical response. When people truly follow Christ, they no longer stay where they are. They follow wherever the Lord leads.

Continuing the Journey
1 John 5:6-21 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
John is finishing his letter, but the journey is not finished. John wants to emphasize what he has been telling throughout the book, but we are people who soon forget. John is reminding us and he is even giving us new evidence that what he has been saying is true. Let’s press on with confidence.

The Many After The First
Colossians 1:9-14 – Dr. Paul Lyle
Worship Leader – Mark Hudson
When we begin something new often we hear, “That’s the first step.” As difficult as that first step is, we must take the second, third, and so on. Are you faithfully taking steps to grow in your knowledge of God? The Apostle Paul expects the Colossians and us to move forward, bearing fruit in every good work.
