We hosted DNow for our youth and their friends Feb 13th. This year was a little different as we didn't have any overnight activities. We fit everything into one jam packed day! They learned about how students can cope with all of the issues they face (social media, grades, friends, parents, work, acceptance, competition, etc.)

Our Youth had beautiful weather for their day trip to Huntsville State Park on Nov 21, 2020. Everyone, adults included, had an awesome time! They fished, rode bikes, kayaked, swam and played volleyball.

The weekend of Jan 24-26th, 2020, we hosted DNow for our youth and their friends. They learned about the relationship between social media and student life, while interacting with their friends all weekend!

On December 20, 2019, we held a lock-in at the office for the youth. We had 47 kids in attendance! We started off with group games and a gift exchange, then dodge ball, pizza, board games, video games and movies.

The youth had a planned camping trip for Jul 2-4 that turned into a day trip due to the weather. Even though it rained, they still got to swim, kayak and canoe!

On June 1, 2019, Paul Lyle and Juan Jose Vargas took our youth group to Hendrick Mission Center in Brownsville, TX to serve and put on a VBS for the local kids.

They learned to be imitators of Christ: Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell. Our youth traveled to Dallas Jul 12-15 for our first annual youth mission trip. They did volunteer work at a local shelter and nursing home, but still found time for some fun at Six Flags.

Disciple Now 2018 took place Feb 16-18th with 28 kids in attendance. It was a very special time for all involved and three boys came forward to be baptized during worship on Sunday. The kids are already asking what we are doing next year!

The Summer of TACO TUESDAY: YGC gathered at the office on Tuesay July 11th for some tacos, nachos and a night at the movies, complete with fresh popcorn, candy and soda. The students enjoyed the classic Jack Black movie Nacho Libre.
